What is Freedom Farm?

Freedom Farm is a dream. Our family's dream of a real farm, but also of a life that is self-sufficient enough to allow us to choose what systems and cultures we want to opt-out of: the industrial food system, consumer culture, debt enslavement...and things we want more of, like community and connection to the Earth.

I'm Christine; wife to Ian, mama to 2 year-old Hunter and another on the way. I dream of simple things like learning to make our own soap and having backyard chickens, but I dream of big things too, like climbing out from under our mountain of consumer debt, repairing our health, and raising our two children to be forces of good in this world.

This isn't a looking back, here's how we did it story. It's a field mission report- a raw, live account of my family's quest for freedom.
